his club took to the Centennial Arena ice on Friday and Saturday for two crucial
Provincial Junior A Hockey League contests after receiving a 12-day break. [article]
WAXERS COME FROM BEHIND AND EARN A DECISIVE
TRIUMPH OVER THE TERRIERS
The Markham Waxers recovered from an early second period
deficit, trailing 3-1, the Waxers came all the way back and eventually took to the bank an
well-earned 7-4 victory with a solid effort and a complete team effort. [report]
WAXERS NIP THE RATTLERS 2-1
The Markham Waxers edged the rival Thornhill Rattlers 2-1 at
Centennial Arena on Friday night. It was the lowest scoring game of the season for the
Waxers but one that saw Markham outchance the Rattlers by a significant amount. [report]
WEST-CENTRAL WINS OPJHL ALL STAR GAME 6-2
The West-Central All Star team defeated the East-Central All
Stars 6-2. Even though the Waxer reps were on the losing squad they made a big impression.

The Waxers came back from a second period deficit and earned
a hard-fought 4-4 tie against arch-rival Wexford Raiders at Scarborough Arena Sunday
night. Not a perfect game but the effort was there once again and when that happens this

The Waxers downed the Newmarket Hurricanes at Newmarket on
Thursday night with what can be simply described as the result of a good old fashioned
hard work. An honest and disciplined work ethic for basically the entire contest resulted
in a victory that was well deserved. The net result (no pun intended) was a convincing 7-5
decision for the men in blue and white. [report]
