WORTH NOTING...
Welch brings a competitive spirit to the Waxers that will blend in well with the winning-attitude the club has, he can also fire the puck as he pumped home seven goals in 35 games (no Waxer "D" has more than that total) while toiling for a club that could be described as a struggling team this season.

WAXERS MAKE SIGNIFICANT MOVE TO BOLSTER BLUELINE
The Markham Waxers have acquired veteran defenceman Andrew Welch from the Huntsville Wildcats.

A nineteen-year-old, "Welchy" brings experience, character and high skill to the team. A left-shooting defenceman, he also has the ability to play up front.

Andrew is an excellent skater, a hard hitter and has a laser of a shot, in other words, he's pretty much the complete package.

The Waxer playoff drive looked bright before and now looks even stronger with Welch bearing the blue and white.
