2003 GRADUATE APPRECIATION NIGHT 
WAXERS HONOUR THE "CLASS OF 2003"
On January 31, 2003, the Markham Waxers held their 4th Annual Graduating Players Appreciation Night.  Each year, the Waxers take time to celebrate the careers of their players that are competing in their final year of Junior A eligibility.  This year, in the final regular season home game, the Waxers honoured the Class of 2003: Liam Bowen, Tony Rossi, Kevin Cribari, Mark Menonte and Ryan Steane.

There were a number of dignitaries on site this evening because the Waxers were also celebrating their 100th and 40th Anniversaries.  Team President and Owner Don Bremner was assisted by Past President Lewis Hollett and Ross Reucassel from The International Group Inc., in honouring the graduates.  The players were presented with a framed selection of action photos and later, at the Graduate Reception, a lovely, engraved watch.  

The following represents the transcript of the festivities which were emceed by the Voice of the Waxers, Andy Herrington:

Welcome Waxer fans and family to the Graduating Players Appreciation Night and our Anniversary celebration.

Waxer owner Mr. Don Bremner will be assisted at center ice by Mr. Lew Hollett who has been involved with the Waxers since the inception of the team 40 years ago. Lew was honoured by the OHA in 1991 with the Gold Stick Award for meritorious service to the game of hockey.

Joining Don & Lew, representing The International Group Inc, formerly International Wax, is Mr. Ross Reucassel-Chairman and CEO.

Tonight is the final regular season home game for 5 integral players on our team. As 20 year-olds, they are in their final year of Junior eligibility. The Waxer ownership and management staff wish to honor the stellar careers of
