The Waxers will honour 5 graduating players on January 31, 2003.

 2003 GRADUATE APPRECIATION NIGHT
WAXERS TO HONOUR FIVE PLAYERS IN THE
"CLASS OF 2003"

On January 31, 2003, the Markham Waxers will be holding their 4th Annual Graduating Players Appreciation Night.  Each year, the Waxers take time to celebrate the careers of their players that are competing in their final year of Junior A eligibility.  This year, in the final regular season home game, the Waxers will honour the Class of 2003: Liam Bowen, Tony Rossi, Kevin Cribari, Mark Menonte and Ryan Steane.

Liam BowenBowen and Rossi are both playing in their first year with the Waxers after joining the team during the off-season.  Bowen, who had not played in the past two seasons, played previously with thTony Rossie Aurora Tigers and was the second Waxer this season to pass the 20 goal mark.  Rossi, who played the previous two years with the Wexford Raiders, has been a top scorer for the team and in the Division this season and was recently selected as the South Division Player-of-the-Month for December.

Kevin CribariCribari and Menonte are both in their third year with the Waxers and have steadily improved their game each season.  Cribari, an Alternate Captain this season, is one of the most improved playersMark Menonte over the past three seasons and one of the quickest skaters in the South Division.  Menonte, this season's team Captain, has always been a fierce competitor and has the ability to dictate the pace and style of any game.

Steane is the longest serving Waxer on the roster entering his fRyan Steaneourth season.  After a successful rookie campaign, Steane missed the entire second season after fracturing a vertebrae in an off season accident.  His determination and hard work led to Steane's return last season and this year being an Alternate Captain, Steane is on pace to set career highs in goals, assists and points.

The Waxers will honour these 5 players for their service and careers in a pre-game ceremony prior to taking on the North York Rangers on Friday the 31st.
