GRAD NIGHT: A TRIBUTE TO THE SOLDIERS IN BLUE AND WHITE,  AN EMOTIONAL EVENING THAT INVOKED MANY, MANY MIXED EMOTION
Kevin Tompkins#12 - KEVIN TOMPKINS
The only 4 year veteran of the Waxers has had a long and storied career with the Waxers. Hardworking and dedicated, Kevin has improved immensely over his career in to a dominant force in the OPJAHL.

Last year’s Most Improved Player in the South Division, this year he is among the top scorers and assist getters. He was selected to the All-Star Game this year and this season was the team Captain for the second straight year.

Below is the full text of the tribute specific to the tribute to number twelve, Kevin Tompkins, as presented by Andy Herrington.

Kevin Tompkins has been with the Waxers since the 1997-98 season and has been the Team Captain for the past two years.

Everyone involved with the team has watched this 4-year veteran grow steadily as a player and a person and he is clearly a fan favourite.

Players and coaches around the League respect "Thumper" as a force to be reckoned with. Always a player feared for toughness, he is now also feared for his skill.

The Waxers are proud of Kevin's accomplishments. Kevin was selected by the League as the Most Improved Player in our division last season and this year he is an All-Star winger and the South Division Most Valuable Player.

He has played in 184 games as a Waxer and scored 66 goals and added 112 assists for a total of 178 points.

Kevin is our leader and quite simply the heart and soul of the Markham Waxers.

Best of luck in the future, #12, KEVIN TOMPKINS!
