GRAD NIGHT: A TRIBUTE TO THE SOLDIERS IN BLUE AND WHITE,  AN EMOTIONAL EVENING THAT INVOKED MANY, MANY MIXED EMOTION
Adam Doucette#23 - ADAM DOUCETTE
Perhaps the biggest blockbuster trade this season landed Adam in a Waxer sweater in late November. Adam has made stops in Newmarket, Streetsville, Port Hope and Aurora.

An impact player, Adam has averaged well over 1.5 points a game and combined with his points earned in Aurora, he is among the leading scorers in the South Division.

Below is the full text of the tribute specific to the tribute to number twenty-three, Adam Doucette, as presented by Andy Herrington.

Adam Doucette is a seasoned veteran of both the Provincial League and the Ontario Hockey League.

Adam started in Junior as a 15-year old and since then has carried a reputation as both a sniper and a hard-nosed player wherever he has played.

After playing last season in Prince Edward Island he started this year in Aurora. A block buster trade in November brought Adam and his brother Derek to the Waxers.

This deal was the catalyst for a major turnaround for Markham.

"Deuce" brings tremendous leadership with toughness and a skills package that is the envy of everyone in the League. He is a player who knows how to win and he is teaching that desire to the team.

In Tier II hockey he has had 72 goals and 98 assists for a total of 170 points in 107 games. Already this season he has 31 goals and 41 assists totaling 72 points in 43 games and the Waxers expect his playoff experience and level of commitment to help us go far in the post season.

Look for Adam to be playing pro hockey next year.

Best of luck in the future, #23, ADAM DOUCETTE!
