WAXERS TO
HOST TRIPLEHEADER OF SPECIAL EVENTS That night is officially been deemed "Alumni Night" as we are appealing to all Alumni from all 40 Waxer Teams to come out to the game. Come and see the current edition of the Waxers and cheer on the young men who are carrying on the strong Tradition of the blue and white. Peruse the arena and the "Wall of Waxers" which honor the rich History of the team. Join in as we are gathering information to create an Alumni database in order to hold more events geared at the Waxer Community. There will be a special reception held in the Penalty Box Lounge commencing with the beginning of the second period and continuing until after the game when the current Waxers will join the Alumni. The second event that night will be the "Banner Raising" ceremony in which the graduates from the 2003 South Division Champions will assist in unveiling the new Championship Banner and raise it to its spot in the rafters. The ceremony will take place during the first intermission. Finally, the second annual "Teddy Bear Toss" will take place that night. We ask all fans to bring with them a new stuffed animal which they will Toss on to the ice after the Waxers score their first goal. The Teddy Bears will then be collected and donated to a local charity in Markham to distribute for those who otherwise would be without on Christmas morning. The charity for Christmas 2003 has been selected as the York Region Children's Aid Society. The night promises to be one of excitement and nostalgia so make plans now to attend!
