It was a wild and physical one as North York travelled to Markham in search of some revenge for a home defeat to the Waxers 5 days earlier. The game was an ugly one with numerous ejections for each team but the Waxers battled extremely hard all night and buoyed by the goaltending of Greg van't Hof, who stopped 40 shots, the Waxers won by a 3-1 score.

After a scoreless first period, the Waxers exploded for 3 unanswered goals in the second period to chase the North York goaltender from the cage after 40 minutes. Ryan Olidis scored the first two goals for the Waxers, one on the powerplay (slamming home a rebound) and another on a pretty shorthanded effort (being sprung free by Ben Cottreau). Then, to add an exclamation point to the period, Chris Korte rifled home his first ever Jr A goal after a tremendous 1-handed assist by Steve Ritchie.

The Waxers went in to a defensive mode for the third period, playing the majority of the final 20 minutes with 3 defenseman and 5 forwards, and allowed only one North York goal with 11:42 left on the clock.
