The
Waxers hosted Huntsville for the only time this season and after it took a
while to hit pay dirt, the Waxers cruised to an 11-2 victory over the short
staffed Wildcats. The teams played to a scoreless draw in the opening
twenty minutes as the Waxers out shot Huntsville 13-9.
Ben
Cottreau got the Waxers on the board early in the second period and the
Waxers would score five more goals while pumping 35 shots on the Wildcat goalie
in the period to take a 6-0 lead heading in to the third. Ryan
Olidis scored twice in the period, Jeff
Paisley scored his first Waxer goal, Nathan
Morris added his Jr A goal, and Jason
Duffy scored shorthanded.
The
Waxers scored 5 more in the third with Josh
Jacobs and Andrew Dias both
bagging two goals and Daniel
Torres getting the other. On the night the Waxers pounded out 66
shots in total while Ethan Gazdic
collected his first Waxer victory stopping 24.
