Playing their third game in less than 48 hours, the Waxers rebounded from a shellacking in the middle game to beat the host North York Rangers by a 3-2 count.  The game started ominously for the Waxers as they fell behind 2-0 after only 4:19 had been played, but from then on they slowly took control and played one of their better defensive games in recent action.

Kevin Cribari got the Waxers on the board at the 11 minute mark of the first period with his 13th of the year.  Tony Rossi head manned the puck to Cribari who blazed down the left wing before unleashing a hard slapshot that beat the goalie clean to the far side to make it 2-1 after the first period.

The Waxers tied the game on the power play in the second period and the game entered the third tied 2-2.  The Waxers moved the puck effectively around the Rangers end, as Mark Menonte fed Jamie Wright near the blueline.  Wright stepped in with the puck and then fired a pass to Ryan Olidis in front and he redirected the puck in to the net for his first goal since returning Saturday after a 6 week layoff.

The third period saw the Waxers pot the winner with 4:40 left on the clock.  Menonte led a 3-on-2 rush up the ice and moved the puck to Olidis on the wing.  Olidis fired a hard backhand at the net which the goalie stopped and the puck bounced in to the crease.  Rossi got to the puck and while sliding on his knees, spun around and smacked the puck past the goalie for the game winning goal. 

Anthony Guadagnolo played in goal and after a shaky start, shutout the Rangers for the final 55 minutes enabling the Waxers to get their mojo going.  Guadagnolo made one spectacular stop in the second while shorthanded as he reached back with his glove and deflected a sure goal away from the wide open net to keep the game 2-1 at that point.
