The Waxers travelled to Casino Country for the first time in 4 seasons and returned home from Rama with the two points on the heals of a 4-2 victory over Couchiching. Markham controlled the play from the out set, holding a 39-21 edge in shots along the way. Kevin Sit earned his second straight win, stopping 19 shots and evening his season record at 4-4-1.

The Waxers opened the scoring with their 5th shorthanded goal of the year just over 11 minues in to the game. Pat Porretta intercepted a pass in the defensive end and went down one-on-one with a Terrier defenseman. After a neat little dipsy-do move, Porretta fired a high wrist shot over the goalie's glove hand and in to the net, knocking the water bottle off the top of the net and to the ice in the process. The Waxers then struck on a 5-on-3 power play to take a 2-0 lead in to the dressing room after the first period. Mike Pain and Ryan Olidis moved the puck back and forth until Olidis slipped it down to the side of the net to a waiting Ben Cottreau. After stepping out to the top of the crease, Cottreau roofed home his first of two goals on the afternoon and his 12th of the year.

The score remained the same until the dying minutes of the second period when Markham took a 3-0 lead. Liam Bowen and Mark Menonte did all the forechecking necessary to keep the puck in the Terrier end before Bowen found Ryan Steane alone in the high slot. Steane rifled a low wrister that beat the Terrier netminder clean on the stick side and the Waxers took the 3-0 lead in to the third.

Just 35 seconds in to the final period, the Waxers struck again and created a 4 goal bulge. Olidis recovered a dump in and cycled the puck to Tony Rossi standing behind the net. With the Terrier goalie reacting to the puck and moving from one post to the other, Rossi passed the puck back the way it came to a wide open Cottreau in the faceoff circle. Cottreau one-timed the puck in to the open side of the net before the goalie had a chance to know what had just happened. The Terriers were able to score two power play goals as the period wore on but did not make it any closer than that.
