For the second time in less than a week, the Waxers and the Aurora Tigers played in to overtime. This time, nothing was settled in the five minute extra frame, as the teams tied 4-4 Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless first period, the Waxers opened the scoring on their 7th short handed goal of the year. Mark Menonte got a loose puck over to Derek Doucette who ragged the puck up the neutral zone and over the blue line, drawing the Tigers towards him. Ben Cottreau came off the bench streaking down the middle uncovered and Doucette fed him a perfect pass which Cottreau one timed in to the back of the cage. Aurora would tie the score minutes later. Markham regained the lead on a Michael Fish goal, a carbon copy of his goal Thursday night in Newmarket. Aurora again tied the score on a short handed effort before Steve Nobili would score 1 minute later during the same powerplay. Nobili came off the bench and right in to the play in Aurora's end when a loose puck came to him in the high slot and he one timed it home for the 3-2 lead. With 3:59 left on the clock, Markham upped the lead to 4-2 when Pat Porretta located a puck in a goal mouth scramble and roofed a back hander for the two goal lead. Jason Duffy and Fish earned assists.

The third period saw the Tigers score twice. The third goal was scored with 9 and a half minutes gone by and then, with the goalie out for an extra attacker, they tied the game with 58 seconds left. No scoring chances in the overtime for either team left the game in the deadlock.
