The Markham Waxers finished their 4-game pre-season schedule with an undefeated 3-0-1 record after a come from behind 3-3 tie against Wexford Sunday night.

Wexford got out in front 1-0 early in the game and then extended their lead 2-0 midway through the second. Bryan Lachapelle scored to make it 2-1 before the Raiders completed their scoring before 40 minutes were up.

Markham then stormed out in the third period cutting the lead to 3-2 after Ian Malcolm scored on the powerplay. Chris Bahen scored the game-tying goal with a little over 8 minutes left.

Five minutes of overtime settled nothing. Tom Lawson stopped 33 shots en route to the tie.

The Waxers now turn their attention to the regular season which starts Thursday in Huntsville followed by their home opener Friday night against the same Wexford Raiders.
