WAXERS ADD TWO VETERANS
The Markham Waxers are pleased to announce the signing of two additional players to this year's squad. The Waxers add two 19-year-old veterans in left-handed goaltender Mike Lee and left-shot forward Ben Buxton.

Lee is a native of Grand Island, New York, who has toiled for Petrolia Jr. B in the past. Last season, Mike did not play because of injuries he suffered in a motor vehicle accident. His sister is married to Darren Puppa of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Mike has been training all summer with Puppa. Mike will complement the taller right-handed Tom Lawson and provide the Waxers with a strong and differing one-two punch in net.

Ben, a native of Marysville, played last season with Colburne Jr. C and Cobourg Jr. B. He has battled back from a broken neck that he suffered early in the 1997-98 season. Ben can play all 3 forward positions and will add depth, experience and versatility to the Waxer forward corps.
