GRADUATE APPRECIATION NIGHT
WAXERS HONOUR THE "CLASS OF 2005"
On February 4, 2005, the Markham Waxers held their
6th Annual Graduating Players Appreciation Night before the Waxers
hosted the St Michael's Buzzers at 7:30 pm. This pregame ceremony honoured the two Waxers who, because of their age, are playing in their
final year of Junior A eligibility. Derrell
Levy and Brandon
Rubeo, the two 1984 born players on the squad, played in their
final regular season home game.
Levy, Team Captain, joined the Waxers at the
beginning of the 2003-04 season after spending his rookie year with the
North York Rangers.
Rubeo has the unusual honour of making his
first OPJAHL season also his last. From McMurray, Pennsylvania,
Rubeo has toiled in the past in the Metro Jr B of the USA.
The Waxers thank you for attending
and assisting us in honouring these two fine players, and even better young men,
on February 4, 2005.

highly respected teammate in our dressing room. Over the past 2 seasons
he has scored 33 goals and 60 assists for a total of 93 points.

the strong legacy of leadership
that is long established in this organization.

two seasons ago after playing his 1st year in the Provincial
league. He is a

to the town and to himself by proving his skills and his exceptional
dedication to his family. Readers Digest magazine recognized Derrell’s
strength of character with the
back cover photo on the December addition.
