Playing their third game in 2 ½ days, the Waxers completed a season sweep of the Huntsville Muskoka Otters (owners of the greatest OHA turnaround in history) by a convincing 7-3 score behind the solid goaltending of Jeff Fischer. The game was a bit of an old school affair and the Waxers played their best game of the weekend to earn their 28^th victory of the season.

Markham jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on back to back goals by David Kostuch just less than 4 minutes apart. The first goal, just past the midway mark, was scored in a 4-on-4 situation and saw Kostuch finish off a pretty 3-on-2 rush. Brett Molnar carried the puck up the ice during the rush and Adam Taylor jumped in to join. Molnar slid the puck to Taylor who in turn slid it to Kostuch all alone at the backdoor for an easy slam dunk goal. The second, to make it 2-0, saw Taylor pond a shot on net during the powerplay which the goaltender stopped. Kostuch then swatted the puck out of midair, not once but twice, to pot his 18^th of the season. Taylor would finish off the scoring in the first when his powerplay goal, off a Riley Hill rebound, made it 3-1 after the opening 20 minutes.

The Waxers upped their lead to 4-1 early in the second with another powerplay marker, this time from Nathan Morris, whose point shot found its way through a maze of legs and in to the back of the net. James and Joel Gaulrapp earned the assists on the goal. The Otters made it 4-2 shortly thereafter and Markham bagged their fifth goal in the final 5 minutes off the stick of Leiland Gauley. After receiving a pass down low from James Gaulrapp , Gauley skated completely around the entire zone before finally rifling home a backhand goal, low to the far side.

In the third, shortly after Fischer stopped a penalty shot, the Waxers opened the scoring to make it 6-2. Molnar scored a powerplay goal, assisted by Josh Jacobs and Kostuch, dekeing the Otters tender for his 24th with 6:36 left in the game. Markham finished the scoring on a Shareef Labreche unassisted effort while playing 4-on-4 to make it 7-2 at that point. The Otters made it 7-3 just 25 seconds later to round out the scoring.
