A long week came to an unmerciful end in Markham's last visit to St Michael's this season as the Buzzers erupted for 6 unanswered goals in the span of 18 minutes en route to a 8-5 defeat of the visiting Waxers. A solid start and finish for the Waxers but the missing 18 minutes sunk the time, for their third straight defeat in 7 days.

Markham jumped on the board first, capitalizing on an early powerplay when Josh Jacobs corralled a bouncing puck in front of the net and fired a wrist shot up in to the top corner for the 1-0 lead. St Mike's tied the score shortly after before the Waxers used the man advantage to take the lead 2-1 with 4:22 left in the period. All five players touched the puck off a neutral zone faceoff as Nathan Morris fed it to Nathaniel Brooks, Brooks sent it cross ice to James Gaulrapp who then sprung brother Joel and Riley Hill on a 2-on-1 break. Joel Gaulrapp's goal mouth pass to Hill was slam dunked for one of the prettiest tic-tac-toe plays of the season. St Mike's tied the game in the last minute of the first and then the second period barrage ended any chances for the Waxers on this night.

James Gaulrapp would make it 7-3 heading to the third period when he converted a Brandon Rubeo pass from behind the net with Joel getting the second assist. Markham sandwiched a St Mike's third period goal with two more powerplay goals of their own. The first being a Brett Molnar goal, one in which he stepped out from behind the net and roofed it over the sprawling goalie (assists to Stephen Kapolnas and Mick Ralph). The final goal of the night was another quick passing play win which Jacobs fed James Gaulrapp in the corner and he found Hill all alone in the slot and Hill roofed it for his second of the night.
