Unable to hold leads of 1-0, 2-1, 4-2, and 6-5, the Waxers returned to the loss column with a disappointing effort against the North Division's first place Aurora Tigers. The loss overshadowed the first Jr A goal by Adam Taylor and the hat trick by defenceman Nathan Morris.

David Kostuch got the ball rolling for the Waxers when he scoopeed up a loose puck in the Tigers' end to rip home his 6th of the year. The Tigers tied the game and the first ended 1-1. The Waxers jumped ahead 2-1, and then 4-2 on the strength of the natural hat trick by Nathan Morris, all on powerplay blasts from the point. The second ended 4-4. In the third, Aurora got the first goal and then the last 4 as the Waxers would tie the game on Taylor's goal and take the lead on a Jonas Schell goal but could not hold off the Tigers, who iced their victory with two empty net goals in the last minute.
