Markham earned its second overtime 3-2 victory of the season when Mick Ralph choose an opportune time to bag his first ever Jr A goal, just 32 seconds in to the extra frame helping Markham earn a season sweep over the Couchiching Terriers. The game had been mostly controlled by the Waxers who out shot the Terriers 48 - 18 as Trevor O'Neill earned his 12th victory of the year.

Markham opened the scoring on two powerplay markers in the first period but would head to the intermission leading 2-1. On the first goal, Brandon Rubeo worked the powerplay up top near the blueline and hit Leiland Gauley in the center of the ice. Gauley stpeed in a few steps and snapped a wrister past the goalie's glove hand for his second goal of the year midway through the first period. Then with just under 3 minutes left, James Gaulrapp set up brother Joel out in to the middle of the ice. While his shot was off the mark, the rebound off the glass landed on the stick of Rubeo who tucked it in the open side for the short lived 2-0 lead.

After a scoreless second period, the Terriers tied the game just 2:17 in to the third period and the tense affair was on. At the end of regulation, the Waxers held a 45-18 shot advantage and took control right off the opening draw of the extra frame. After a solid first shift seeing two shots on net, a faceoff was called in the Couchiching end. Rubeo won the draw and the puck went to Brandon Fackey who sent it back to Raklph at the point. His quick shot hit a Couchiching defender's skate and caromed high in to the corner of the net for the game winning goal.
