The Waxers took the first of a home-and-home set with the Rangers and finished a three game weekend in the right fashion after a 5-2 win Sunday afternoon.

North York opened the scoring a little over 3 minutes in to the game before the Waxers astruck back at the 6 minute mark. Jesse Boucher deposited his team leading 31st goal of the year with assists to Travis O'Rourke and Mark Menonte to tie the game 1-1. Steve Nobili then gave the Waxers the lead for good when he slammed home a powerplay goal with assists to Boucher and Derek Doucette.

The Waxers upped the lead to 3-1 early in the second period on a Ryan Steane goal, assisted by Nobili and Mark Skeels. Doucette added to the lead when he scored with just under 7 minutes left in the second with helpers going to Menonte and Pat Porretta. North York cut in to the lead but the Waxers restored the 3 goal margin just 16 seconds after that when Porretta set up Jason Duffy for the final goal of the afternoon.

Chris Lawrence and Kevin Sit split the goaltending duties in net stopping a combined 25 shots.
