For the first time this season, the Waxers and the Aurora Tigers did not require overtime to decide the outcome of a game. Although still a close one, this time the Tigers prevailed 3-2 in regulation.

The Waxers opened the scoring with less than 5 minutes left in te first period on the powerplay. Jesse Boucher circled from the half-boards in to the middle of the box and found Ryan Steane at the side of the net with a perfect pass for a redirection in to the open side. Derek Doucette earned the other assist.

The Tigers stormed back in the opening minutes of the second period as they scored twice in the opening 6 minutes to take a 2-1 lead in to the third period.

Aurora and Markham exchanged powerplay goals in the third period as Pat Diotte scored with 4:18 left on the clock to make it a one goal game. Pat Porretta and Joey Grasso picked up assists on the play.

Markham buzzed the net for most of the game out shooting the Tigers 40-27. David Digironimo played his second strong game in goal for the Waxers but came up empty handed again as the Waxers could not capitalize on their scoring opportunities.
