Markham's losing streak stretched to three games after a 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Vaughan Vipers. The game was another example of how the Waxers are finding ways to lose as the Vipers scored the winning goal with 1:57 left on the clock and added an empty netter for good measure with 42 seconds left.

Vaughan came out strong in the first period and took a 2-0 lead on a power play and a short handed goal before 8 minutes ran off the clock. The Waxers would tie the game before the period ended. Jesse Boucher scored the first goal, to up his total to 17 on the year, with assists to Mark Menonte and Albert Ferrante. Then, on the power play, Boucher and Menonte combined to set up Pat Porretta in the slot for the tying goal.

Markham came out flying in the second period and took the lead when Patrick Diotte scored his third of the year on a blast from the point just 43 seconds in to the period. Vaughan would later tie the score on a 5-on-3 power play.

That set the stage for the third period in which Markham out shot Vaughan 14 - 6 but the Vipers would score on their last two shots to win the game.
