A game in which the shot count was even was the
only thing that was close statistically between the Waxers and the first place
Buzzers.
St. Mike's attacked from the opening draw
offensively and their goalie provided stellar goaltending as the period ended
3-0 for St. Mike's in spite of the Waxers out shooting the home team
14-8. The second period saw St Mike's up the lead to 7-0. Jesse
Boucher and Ryan Steane
added goals in the third period to bust the shutout bid.
