The Waxers were out worked for most of the 60 minute game which saw the visiting Spirit storm back with 3 unanswered third period goals for a 4-2 victory. This marked the second regulation loss on home ice for the Waxers this season and continued a bad trend of not being able to protect one goal leads.

Markham opened the scoring at the 1:31 mark as Jesse Boucher danced in all alone to bag his 15th goal of the season. Mark Menonte and Ryan Steane earned assists in setting up Boucher with some good cycling in the offensive end. Stouffville would tie the game on a power play with just over 9 minutes played in the game. Derek Doucette restored the one goal with an unassisted marker with just under 5 minutes remaining after racing up the ice with the puck and roofing a wrist shot from the face off dot.

After a scoreless second period, the Sprit tied the game just under 2 minutes in to the third and took the lead when a rebound was kicked in to the Waxers net by a Markham defender with 10 minutes remaining. An empty net goal in the last minute iced the victory for the visitors.
