The Waxers delivered a second consecutive solid effort and this time were rewarded justly with a 7-2 triumph.

Joel Kitchen opened the scoring for the Waxers at the fifteen minute mark of the first period tying the game at 1-1, Lawne Snyder earned the assist, the first of three he'd get on the night. With time winding down in the period the Waxers pressed and finally Greg Chambers potted his 20th of the year from Snyder and Jimmy Ball. The goal came with just three seconds remaining on the clock.

Jeremy Wenzel kept the Waxers in the contest in the second period as he continues to deliver solid performances night in and night out for the Markham club. With just over a minute remaining in the middle period the Waxers put together a pair of back-to-back goals separated by just 9 seconds. Jason Young scored on the powerplay from Kevin Tompkins to make it 3-1. Moments after the ensuing faceoff Mike Harding popped in his first of the year, first of his Jr. A career, from Kitchen and Paul Robinson and this game was basically over at that point with the Waxers taking a 4-1 lead into the dressing room.

The Waxers refused to letup and let the visiting Legionaires get any momentum and pour in three goals in a span of 2:33 early in the final period. Rob Mazzuca scored on a powerplay from Jim Ulcar and Tom Kotspoulos to make it 5-1. That goal was followed by a pair of markers that came quickly, just 28 seconds apart. Tompkins popped in a rebound from a Snyder bazooka from the blueline, Ryan Steane also earned a helper. Rob Burrows closed out the Waxer scoring from Ulcar and Tompkins.

Another tremendous team effort as the club now heads into Ajax to face the Axemen in a battle for sole possession of fourth place and more importantly a chance to reach the .500 mark to create a launching pad for the stretch run in the New Year.
