| The Waxers had the game well in hand with
leads of 3-0 and 5-0 after the first two periods. Burrows scored a pretty goal as he notched his second
consecutive multi-point game, a first for him.
Snyder scored his 10th of the season, a high
among all Waxer blueliners and a testament to the laser he possesses at
the point.

The Markham Waxers leapt out to a 5-0 lead after two periods and eventually took home a
7-3 road win over the Stouffville Spirit.
Bryan Lachapelle got
things started when he scored shorthanded, his 17th of the season from Kevin Tompkins and Lawne Snyder less than 9 minutes
into the contest. Snyder scored himself, unassisted, his 10th of the season less than two
minutes later and the Waxers were up 2-0. With less than six minutes remaining in the
period David Colucci snared a
loose puck after a tremendous Waxers scoring opportunity went for nought and patiently
circled around until Jimmy Ball
planted himself in front of the Stouffville goal and Ball made no mistake, 3-0 Waxers
after one.
Ian Malcolm put Markham in
front by four goals converting on a pass from Robert
Burrows and Brett Barrer.
Burrows scored six minutes later from Joel
Kitchen and Locky Gelinas
as the Waxers took a commanding 5-0 lead to the dressing room after two periods.
Stouffville broke the ice just before the midway point of the final frame to spoil Tom Lawson's shutout bid. Ian
Malcolm would score twice more, to give him 45 goals for the season to conclude the Waxer
scoring. Barrer and Gelinas assisted on the first one and Malcolm's second of the period,
third of the night sailed into an empty cage late in the contest as Stouffville tried
valiantly to mount a comeback.
Lawson made 25 saves for the night as he backstopped the Waxers to victory.
The Waxers next game is Friday night at Centennial Arena when the Waxers host the
second place Newmarket Hurricanes. EDITOR
