The Waxers continue with their impressive team play and save for a short letup late in the second period the Waxers dominated the play for the most part and received several outstanding key saves by netminder Matt Cifelli (including one absolute act of robbery in the second period as he dove across and gloved a sure goal against most any other goaltender). The results this time reflected a little better their efforts as they took a 7-4 decision over the Rattlers.

Ian Malcolm got the Waxers on the board early as he converted from Lawne Snyder less than seven minutes into the contest for 26th goal of the year. Jim Ulcar put the Waxers back on top from Chris Petracco late in the opening period after the Rattlers had tied up the score on a powerplay goal.

Daniel Sisca scored the first of his two on the night, shorthanded, as the 1983-born centre shot up the ice and broke in on the Rattler netminder and wristed one home as he suddenly snapped off a shot after biding his time as the Rattlers were caught up ice after they had been pressing during the man advantage situation. David Colucci finally finished off a tremendous solo rush (he's been simply dazzling since arriving to Markham and he broke out big time tonight), one of several exhibitions of pure skill and great hockey sense as he caught the Rattler netminder by surprise when he tucked in a wraparound, Locky Gelinas was credited with the lone assist. That goal put the Waxers up 4-1 and things were looking pretty good but then a Rattler score cut the margin to two and then Sisca scored his second unassisted goal 19 seconds after the Thornhill marker to make the count 5-2. A couple of late Rattler goals at the end of the period turned what might have been a blowout in to a nail biter.

It wouldn't be until there were less than three minutes remaining in the contest before the outcome was secure as Rob Mazzuca converted a beautiful feed from Colucci. Then, 24 seconds later, Colucci himself scored, his second of the night, from Sisca and Mazzuca to conclude the scoring for the night.

The Waxers now enter their Christmas break with two straight victories and take to the ice on Sunday, December 27th in Newmarket as they face an old Metro League rival, the Caledon Canadians in tournament action.

Updates to the site are suspended until after Sunday, December 27th. Best wishes to all for a safe and peaceful holiday season. EDITOR
