WAXERS CONCLUDE EXHIBITION SCHEDULE WITH LOSS TO TIGERS
The Waxers struck early for a 2-0 lead before the game was 10 minutes old but the Tigers came back and scored a 6-5 victory over Markham. [recap]

The 1999 OHL Priority Draft concluded almost two weeks ago and the Waxers saw three key members of their club, all 15-year-olds get drafted by OHL clubs on that weekend. After Daniel Sisca was selected 35th overall the Waxers saw two other prime prospects, namely, defenceman Jimmy Ball and centre Joel Kitchen hear their names called during the special OHL Bantam Draft, the first ever for the OHL.
