If momentum could don a hockey uniform in the first round Provincial Junior A Hockey
League best-of-five playoff series between the Aurora Tigers and Markham Waxers, it did
not come clad in blue and white, colours donned by the Waxers. [article]
FORSYTH'S SIX-ASSIST GAME IN THE LIMELIGHT
The most incredible game of the year at any level of hockey had to be the
six-assist performance by netminder B.J.
Forsyth during Markham's 15-1 victory over the Shelburne Wolves on February
16, 1999. The phenomenal story which received very little play in the local media finally
has received recognition from the media king of the hockey industry, The

It's do or die for the Markham Waxers. The Waxers found themselves in that predicament
after a suffering a heartbreaking 3-2 double overtime loss in Aurora on Sunday. [article]
TIGERS DEFEAT WAXERS AND TAKE SERIES
The Aurora Tigers defeated the Markham Waxers 3-1 at Markham Centennial Monday night. The
victory also ended the Waxers season prematurely perhaps, however, give the Tigers their
due, they came to play and give them full marks for the victory in the series that
featured strong team defense, excellent goaltending and generally made for some of the
best hockey all year. [report]
