Waxers and Aurora Tigers square off in their Provincial Junior A Hockey League

AURORA HANGS ON TO TAKE
GAME 1
The Waxers fell behind quickly and were down 2-0 and 3-0 after the first
two periods. The third saw the Waxers rally with two consecutive goals but were unable to
capitalize and nail the tying marker. An empty net goal with eight seconds left gave
Aurora the win 4-2. [report]
WAXERS HONOURED TO TAKE PART IN MAPLE LEAFS MEMORIES & DREAMS
PARADE
The Markham Waxers were proud to be a part of the Maple Leaf Gardens Memories and Dreams
festivities on Friday, February 19, 1999. The day which began bright and early in the
morning for the Waxers who were coming off of a game in Stouffville from the night before
and who were destined to spend much of the day taking part in the Leafs celebration before
rushing back to Markham to face the Newmarket Hurricanes. [article]
SISCA WINS ROOKIE-OF-THE-YEAR
The Markham Waxers are proud to announce that the OPJHL Central Division
Rooke-of-the-Year has been awarded to Daniel
Sisca. The league award was voted on by the Central Division General Managers

last game of the regular season for both clubs. The Waxers "Real Season" begins
