MANAGEMENT IS CONFIDENT OF
A TURNAROUND, ADD NETMINDER
There is every reason to expect that the club's fortunes will do a u-turn, starting this Friday night as they play the first of a two-game mini-series versus the rival Wexford Raiders. The Waxers' Head Coach Russ Herrington and General Manager (and also assistant coach) Larry Herrington both expressed optimism (we have audio clips of both). If you haven't already planned on attending Centennial Arena to watch the Waxers you won't want to miss Friday's game as it is sure to be an exciting contest and one that will see the Waxers well-prepared mentally. The Waxers will be out to snare some important points as they are placed in the highly-competitive (definitely the strongest division in the circuit) and begin to launch an assault on the teams above them in the standings. In other news of note, the Waxers added goaltender B.J. Forsyth to the roster and he will suit up and reportedly get the start on Friday night. Forsyth is a big young man at 6' 4" who hails from Beamsville and most recently toiled for the Fort Erie Meteors in Jr. B. He comes with good credentials and a reputation and was in fact a draft pick of the Guelph Storm of the OHL.
