
WAXERS HEAD FOR CHRISTMAS BREAK ON WINNING NOTE
The Waxers continue with their impressive team play and save
for a short letup late in the second period the Waxers dominated the play for the most
part and received several outstanding key saves by netminder Matt Cifelli
(including one absolute act of robbery in the second period as he dove across and gloved a
sure goal against most any other goaltender). The results this time reflected a little
better their efforts as they took a 7-4 decision over the Rattlers. [report]

BUMBACO'S GAMEWINNER
The Waxers hard work paid some dividends this time, although
the score was still not indicative of the play as Markham outshot Shelburne 53-24 en route

COLLINGWOOD TRIP GIVES THE
WAXERS THE BLUES, AGAIN
A game in which the score is grossly misleading, the Waxers
lost to the Collingwood Blues by a score of 9-2. The Waxers outshot the Blues 50-29,
however, their many excellent scoring opportunities were thwarted by the Collingwood
netminder who stood on his head throughout the night. [report]
HUSKIES SURPRISE THE
WAXERS
The Waxers found out, albeit not very nicely, that teams that
have struggled can't be taken lightly as they were defeated by the Durham Huskies 6-3
Saturday night, the victory by the Huskies was only their third of the year (albeit all
three have come in the space of the last couple of weeks or so) [report]

week, the Provincial Junior A hockey club made a couple of transactions which might enable

In what was perhaps the most entertaining and exciting game
this year, the Waxers tied one with the Collingwood Blues 4-4. The game was an end-to-end
affair with terrific passing, quality scoring chances, furious hitting and superb
