PRESEASON TILT
The Waxers continued a scary trend in losing Friday night to Brampton for
the second time in a week. This time, although scoring 6 goals, the
Waxers again lose, by a score of 8-6. [recap]

Well, it looks like summer is over as the Waxers played their first of
four exhibition games tonight in Brampton. A tense, defensive battle
ensued (during the warm-up that is) as the host Capitals came out on top
defeating the Waxers 9-7. [recap]

ATHLETIC THERAPIST The
Waxers are pleased to announce that Phil
Voutier has joined the team as the new Athletic Therapist.
Phil brings a wealth of OPJAHL experience to the squad having worked
throughout the League over the past four seasons with Ajax and Brampton. [details]

On Saturday, June 2, 2001, watch the Markham
Waxers Junior Hockey Club at the Unionville Festival. We will have a booth
setup at the premises of what used to be The Pineapple Inn Restaurant at

General Manager Larry Herrington and Head Coach
Russ Herrington are pleased to welcome
Mike Heaney and Mike McIntyre as newly appointed Assistant Coaches. Both are former teammates of Russ Herrington's and both bring a wealth of playing experience to the table.
