WAXERS'
STEANE RECOVERING FROM SERIOUS OFF-ICE INJURY
Second-year veteran Ryan
Steane was seriously injured on Saturday, August 12, 200 in a
swimming accident. Ryan fractured a vertebrae in his neck and was taken to
St. Michael's Hospital.
He received a fusion operation recently and the Waxers are ecstatic to
report that he has recovered in a remarkable fashion. Ryan has full use of
his arms and legs and is already back at home. Ryan and his family have
been told to expect a complete recovery from this injury and the
operation. At this point, Ryan's status for the upcoming season is
unknown. The Waxers are thankful for Ryan's good fortune and look forward
to his return to the lineup.
